A Change, Ah-well, U-huh

I can surf the world’s web pages
To my little hearts content
But I cant sail, cant even swim
Don’t even much like getting wet
We used to navigate by moon
And now we navigate by Google
Oh, aint there anybody else who
Thinks there’s something that we’re loosing?

I can drink a mochachino
Watching digital TV
But even if I faced starvation
I couldn’t grow a thing to eat
I can get everything I want
And I can satisfy my greed
I can make money for my vices
But make nothing that I need

Oh aint there anybody else who
Thinks there’s something kind of odd?
We’ve gone from fit and able cave men
Into lazy little gods.
And aint there something kinda creepy
Kinda strange or kind of queer?
I can do nothing my ancestors must
Have done to get me here.

We utilise our satellites
As we used to use the stars
With GPS and 3G gadgets
We can tell just where we are
Using signals sent to space
Where some tincan bounces them down
We can be guided to our nearest
Take away or cinema

Are you sure we built the pyramids
With those big ol’ bricks and all?
Oh I cant even go two rounds
Of playing Jenga till it falls.
As for the great wall of china
I’d hesitate to say that I’m a
Part of any class of mammal
That could have handled such a task

Oh aint there anybody else who
Thinks there’s something kind of odd?
We’ve gone from fit and able cave men
Into lazy little gods.
And aint there something kinda creepy
Kinda strange or kind of queer?
I can do nothing my ancestors must
Have done to get me here.
